The land of fire and ice!
As a travel photographer who has grown up along the beautiful golden beaches of Durban, South Africa, visiting Iceland was a surreal experience.
The volcanic black sand beaches, snow capped mountains and ancient glaciers need to be seen to be believed.
The featured image is of the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) the main reason we chose to visit Iceland. We dared not speak about it out loud due to the somewhat elusive nature of this natural phenomenon. It was a true privilege not to just see the Aurora but have the opportunity to photograph it. I was brought to tears, to this day it is still the most incredible thing I have ever witnessed.
Iceland was a completely different/contrasting type of natural beauty to anything I’ve ever seen.
